Keep On Keepin’ On!

We are counting down the weeks to the end of the chemo treatments. We are looking at being done with chemo sometime around the beginning of September if we have no further delays. We are definitely praying that is the case. We go in tomorrow for Caleb’s only treatment this week. We are so very blessed! Caleb has done so amazingly well. We had an appointment with his new pediatrician this past week in Wrens. Dr. Brandy Gheesling is awesome. She is also a fellow believer that goes to a great church in Augusta. She was so encouraged by the good news we have received. I told her about the sudden disappearance of the tumor last November during the revival services and that’s when she shared her faith with me, too. I like having physicians that serve under the Great Physician!

Caleb has been practicing his guitar a lot lately, and it is starting to show. He sat in during rehearsal again with the band at church Sunday night and did a really good job and it won’t be long before he is ready to be a part of the band full time. That really excites me to see my son moving into his area of gifting and using it for God’s glory. We have known all along that God has a big plan for Caleb. I still remember what Nathan Morris told him when he prayed for him back in November at the revival services. He told Caleb the enemy had tried to steal his destiny as a young man as well. God has used Nathan mightily throughout the world. He encouraged Caleb and told him God had big plans for him.

I was so encouraged last week when I decided to go back and read the blog from the beginning. It brought back a lot of the emotions we have had to deal with on this journey, but it reminded us of the faithfulness of God along the way. It will definitely build your faith and I recommend going back and looking at some of the early posts to see how far we have come. We still have a little ways to go, but the end is in sight. Thanks for sticking with us in this battle. It’s easy to get emotionally spent in a situation like this, and you can get weary of hearing about it. But thanks so much to each of you that have continued to pray for us, call and text us, come visit, support financially, and bring meals over the last 8 months. There is NO WAY we could have done this without you guys and we love each of you.

Today’s verse –

I tell you the truth, you can say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen. But you must really believe it will happen and have no doubt in your heart. I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours.
